Steam Direct is the all new system, which will let you put any game on steam for $100 and Valve's approval. The $100 fee is nothing after all the work you and your team could have put on your mod, and the fee can be split up anyway. But it isn't about the fee, the new system will actually mean a better gateway for new games and mods. The most preferable way is to create a new file called autoexec.cfg in the cfg folder in your Portal 2 install directory. Here's mine: My autoexec.cfg highlighted in the top. Take note of the directory: it's fairly similar in every Windows system. In Linux or iOS the default install directories are found in Steam Support.

In October 2020, we informed you about a new mod for Portal 2, Portal Reloaded. This mod builds on the concepts of the main game by allowing you to place a third portal, which enables traveling between two different timelines. And, we are happy to report today that this mod is available for download.

As the modding team noted, travelling between the present and a version of reality 20 years in the future will open up a completely new way of puzzle solving.

You can download the mod from here. Below you can also find its key features:

  • 25 brand new mind-bending puzzles
  • Fire three different portals
  • Explore two different timelines
  • More than 100 custom voice lines
  • New music
  • Unique puzzle mechanics

John is the founder and Editor in Chief at DSOGaming. He is a PC gaming fan and highly supports the modding and indie communities. Before creating DSOGaming, John worked on numerous gaming websites. While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved - and still does - the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
